flocculants work by facilitating the
removal of
pollutants from effluent wastes
through the process
of flocculation. This
means that with the
addition of a specified
flocculant to an
effluent any suspended,
dispersed, coloured
or weakly soluble
pollutants will be
forced to separate and settle
downwards from the
water carrying them.
